The short version: Utilra does not collect or store your financial data. All calculations run entirely in your browser. Your numbers never reach our servers — ever. We use Google Analytics and may show Google AdSense ads; both are disclosed below.

1. Who We Are

Utilra (utilra.com) is a free online tools platform providing financial calculators, PDF utilities, and image tools. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@utilra.com.

2. Information We Collect

Calculator and tool inputs: All financial calculations (EMI, SIP, GST, income tax, etc.) and browser-based tools (image resize, crop, compress, background remover, word counter, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser. No data you enter into these tools is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

PDF processing: When you use PDF conversion tools (Merge PDF, PDF to Word, etc.) that require server-side processing, your files are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, processed, and permanently deleted from our servers within minutes of processing. We do not read, store, share, or analyse the contents of your documents beyond what is required to complete the conversion.

Usage data: We collect anonymised usage data via Google Analytics, including pages visited, time on page, browser type, device type, and approximate location (country/city level). This data is aggregated and never linked to your identity.

Contact information: If you contact us by email, we retain your email address and message content solely to respond to your enquiry.

3. Cookies

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. Data is anonymised. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
  • Advertising cookies — We display ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings. We comply with Google's Publisher Policies.

6. Affiliate Links

Some pages may contain affiliate links to financial products or services. We may receive a commission if you apply or purchase through such links. Affiliate relationships do not influence the accuracy of our calculator results.

7. Children's Privacy

Utilra is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@utilra.com and we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Retention

PDF and file uploads are deleted within minutes of processing. Email correspondence is retained for up to 12 months. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default retention settings (26 months, configurable).

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law including the right to access, rectify, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal personal data, most requests can be fulfilled simply by not using the service. For any data requests, email hello@utilra.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Utilra after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
